By accessing and using DocuClean ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

DocuClean is a free online PDF toolkit that provides watermark removal, file merging, page splitting, and PDF compression services. The Service is provided via a web interface at docuclean.app and is available to users worldwide at no cost.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use DocuClean only for lawful purposes. Specifically, you agree to:

• Only process documents that you own or have explicit permission to modify.
• Not use the Service to infringe on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• Not use the Service to remove watermarks from copyrighted materials without authorization from the rights holder.
• Not attempt to overload, disrupt, or exploit the Service's infrastructure.
• Not use automated scripts, bots, or similar tools to access the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users.

3. File Size Limits

Individual file uploads are limited to 15 MB per document. For the merge feature, the combined total size of all uploaded files must not exceed 30 MB. These limits may be adjusted at any time without notice to ensure service quality for all users.

4. Privacy and Data Handling

5. Intellectual Property

The DocuClean name, logo, website design, and original content are the intellectual property of DocuClean and its creators. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our branding or content without written permission.

Documents you process through DocuClean remain entirely your property. We claim no ownership, license, or rights over your uploaded files or the processed results.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

DocuClean is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable.
• All watermarks or unwanted content will be successfully removed from every document.
• Processed files will be free of quality loss or formatting changes.

We strongly recommend keeping backup copies of your original documents before processing them through any online tool, including DocuClean.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DocuClean and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

8. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without prior notice. We may also update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
